Cancellation rules are those in effect by Florida Statute at the time of cancellation or non-renewal.
Statute
627.7415. Commercial motor vehicle; additional liability insurance coverage
Commercial motor vehicles, operated upon the roads and highways of the State of Florida shall be insured with the following minimum levels of combined bodily liability insurance and property damage liability insurance in addition to any other insurance requirements:
- Fifty thousand dollars per occurrence for a commercial motor vehicle with
a gross vehicle weight of 26,000 pounds or more, but less than 35,000 pounds
- One hundred thousand dollars per occurrence for a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of 35,000 pounds or more, but less than 44,000 pounds
- Three hundred thousand dollars per occurrence for a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of 44,000 pounds or more
Underwriting Criteria
- Multiple Named Insureds- UNACCEPTABLE
- No physical damage coverage for vehicles over 12 years old.
- Physical damage will only be written in conjunction with liability coverage.
- Driver/Operators must hold a Valid Florida Driver’s License.
UNACCEPTABLE VEHICLES

Private Passenger Autos, Mini Vans, SUVs, or Station Wagons under Individual's Name
- Vehicles used by civic/religious or organized groups for transportation of members or guests.
- Vehicles used to transport school children, nursery school children, hotel/motel guests, hospitalized patents.
- Taxicabs
- Motorcycles, motor scooters and motor bikes
- Vehicles used to transport animals
- Emergency vehicles
- Racing vehicles
- Flammable liquid haulers
- Dump trucks used for sand and gravel hauling
- Concrete trucks
- Ambulances
- Special delivery mail carriers or message services
- Logging vehicles
- Long haul truck men
- Ice cream trucks and similar vehicles
- Driving schools
- Amusement devices, carnivals and circus vehicles
- Car carriers
- Public transportation vehicle
- Armored Cars
- Pizza delivery vehicles
- Check Cashing Vehicles
- Extra Heavy Trucks Tractors Over 45,000 Lbs. GCW (refer to our Extra Heavy Truck Tractor Program)

Unacceptable Drivers (We do not surcharge for MVR points)

Drivers/operators under the age of 21.

We will not accept any driver/operator whose driver's license is invalid.

We will not accept any driver/operator with a conviction involving any of the following major violations:

Driving while intoxicated or impaired or under the influence of alcohol, narcotic drugs, or both.

Drivers with more than two (2) accidents in the past thirty-six (36) months.

Drivers with more than two (2) unlawful speed-16 MPH or more over lawful or posted speed in the past thirty-six (36) months.

Refused to take a sobriety test, if suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Consumption of alcohol beverages or narcotic drugs in a motor vehicle

Possession of narcotic drugs in a motor vehicle compartment occupied or accessible to driver
-
Gross negligence, manslaughter, homicide, or any felony arising out of the operations of motor vehicle

Leaving the scene of an accident. Hit and run .

Eluding or attempting to elude a police officer.

Operating a motor vehicle without permission.

Racing or engaging in aiding and abetting a speed contest.

A felony in which a motor vehicle is used.

Reckless Driving.
